Upbound Group, Inc. in Plano, Texas is offering a 10-week Summer Intern Program in Accounting Rotation, with in-office work at our Plano headquarters.

The Accounting Intern will rotate through Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, Tax and Internal Audit, performing ledger entries, closing procedures and ad hoc projects.

Dates: May 25 – July 30, 2027. Compensation: $23.00 per hour. Eligibility: pursuing an Accounting degree with graduation May 2027–May 2028 and U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Accounting degree with expected graduation May 2027–May 2028.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without immigration sponsorship.
• Willing to work in Plano, TX in-office Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger.
• Develop and analyze ad hoc financial reporting needs.
• Perform daily, monthly and quarterly closing procedures.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and external SEC filings.
• Assist with income tax returns and quarterly provision calculations.
• Support audit reviews and SOX control processes.
