Job summary

Stout seeks an experienced advisor to lead Accounting & Reporting engagements, focusing on extensive GAAP research, complex contract analysis, and robust financial statement preparation. You will support post‑acquisition integration, develop accounting memos, and guide clients from disclosures to audits with a high level of technical acumen.

You will work with teams across ERP platforms (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle) and leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

Broad knowledge of US GAAP including purchase accounting, derivatives, complex debt and equity securities, stock-based compensation, revenue recognition, and lease accounting.
Financial statement preparation and accurate reporting under GAAP.
Experience interpreting complex accounting standards and documenting practical implications.
Deep experience with M&A post-acquisition integration.
CPA may be preferred for audit readiness and credibility.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute Accounting & Reporting Advisory engagements with a focus on research and client deliverables.
Prepare and review account reconciliations and communicate with client vendors.
Review complex contracts and conduct technical accounting research for documentation.
Prepare accounting memos and policies aligned with standards.
Determine appropriate journal entries and operational accounting matters.
Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures for clients.
Perform SEC filing research and supporting schedules for audits.
Serve as post-acquisition integration SME and advisory for valuation practice.
