Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking an accounting/clerical professional to perform routine to moderately complex financial tasks in a general accounting environment at our Columbia, SC office. The role involves handling refunds, deposits, journal entries, and basic reconciliations, with emphasis on data accuracy and timely reporting.

The position supports accounts payable/receivable and related finance functions, conducts research to resolve issues, and assists junior staff as needed.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine to moderately complex clerical/accounting functions in general accounting, accounts payable/receivable or related area.
• Prepares financial data for refunds, invoices, deposits and adjustments; ensures data is complete and accurate; provides supervisor with summaries.
• Performs research to identify errors and resolves routine questions; refers complex issues to higher levels.
• Performs calculations on financial documents to verify accuracy of bank deposits, receipts and disbursements.
• Provides support to accounting/finance functions and may assist less experienced clerks.
