Invesco is seeking a Manager of Accounting Policy in Atlanta to provide authoritative guidance on complex and strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and to evaluate financial reporting implications. The role collaborates with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, HR, Fund Accounting and business teams across a global footprint.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting.
• CPA certification required.
• 6+ years public accounting, US GAAP accounting policy and/or SEC reporting experience.
• Experience drafting technical accounting memoranda and policy documentation.
• Knowledge of Financial Services Industry preferred.
• Ability to simplify complex issues for a non-technical audience.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn and develop.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fluid environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide authoritative technical accounting guidance on complex and strategic transactions.
• Collaborate across Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, HR, Fund Accounting and business teams.
• Lead reviews of consolidation, VIE assessments, segment reporting, revenue recognition and related areas.
• Conduct ad hoc accounting research and new standard implementations.
• Review quarterly financial statements and public filings for quality assurance.
• Support corporate audit and respond to emerging disclosure risks.
