Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a contract accounting professional to manage contracting needs across shared services and serve as the primary contact for diverse contracts. You will collaborate with Procurement, Finance and Legal to drive approvals, prepare journal entries, and support month-end analyses.

The role requires 3 years of accounting experience, advanced Excel, and NetSuite expertise. It is a remote, EOR contractor position open to residents across the 50 states.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressive accounting experience and experience in project/program management, quantitative analysis and/or financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience; NetSuite is preferred.
• Ability to manage confidential information with high integrity and discretion.
• Inquisitive, analytical and detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as with a team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including Procurement, Finance and Legal to facilitate contract approvals and signatures.

Briefs management on budgetary matters.

Lead daily and monthly administrative tasks such as Purchase Order (PO) and vendor invoice management.

Calculate month-end accruals and prepare journal entries.

Assist in analysis of month-end performance to budget.

Provide data management and analytical support between Shared Service and Finance departments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Three (3) years of progressive accounting experience AND Experience in project/program management, quantitative analysis and/or financial analysis

Certificates and Licenses: None required. CPA preferred.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience; namely NetSuite
• Ability to manage confidential information with high level of integrity and discretion
• Inquisitive, analytical and detail oriented
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to clear the required background check

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level.

Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections.

We anticipate this position will pay around $29.26 per hour.

This is a temporary/contractor role, and you will be an employee of Workspend.
