Job summary

LKQ Corporation is seeking an experienced administrative leader to coordinate office services, manage A/R/A/P and payroll, and supervise staff. The role requires strong accounting background and proficiency with MS Office, enabling accurate reporting and timely month-end closes.

You will partner with Finance to ensure proper posting of receivables, maintain vendor relationships, and drive quality improvement initiatives while supporting a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a specialized profession or equivalent.
  • Prior accounting related experience.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Able to supervise and develop staff.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains contact with outside vendors about office and facility needs.

Supervises office support staff.Essential Job DutiesImplement and maintain general office systems, procedures and methods, directing a combination of activities including A/R, A/P, payroll, fixed assets, dispatching, and inventory.Manage general services, including purchasing of office supplies, mail distribution, office equipment maintenance and repair, facility related issues.Maintain contact with outside vendors and suppliers about office and facility needs.May perform or supervise general bookkeeping duties.Coordinate with Finance regarding cash collection and proper posting of customer accounts receivables.Assist with resolving account errors, returned checks, credit charge backs, payment shortages, and other related issues. Oversee month end close items are completed by deadline provided by Corporate. Gather, organize and summarize data and information for reports to management.Oversee setting up new accounts, verifying client data and proper billing information, including resale tax information.Oversee month end close items are completed by deadline provided by Corporate.Gather, organize and summarize data and information for reports to management.Initiate and support the continual improvement of LKQs’ quality improvement system.Assumes other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.Minimum Requirements Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GED.5 years+ in specialized profession or equivalent; Proficient in specialty including prior senior lead / supervisor experience.Prior accounting related experience. Preferred RequirementsCollege coursework. Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and Powerpoint presentations to support business objectives.Frequently communicates complex information across departments and interacts with management. Can present, resolve and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others.Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents and practices.Decisions impact the management and operations within a department or business unit. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department.Provides and sets goals and priorities for functional area. May make recommendations for department policies, practices, and programs. Makes decisions for and/or resolves problems for others.Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.
