Job summary

Equestra Donuts LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the month-end and year-end close under the Controller’s supervision. The role focuses on GAAP adherence, journal entries, and GL analysis to ensure accurate financials.

You will also manage reports, invoicing, reconciliations, fixed assets, budgets, and audits, with occasional travel (<25%). A CPA is preferred and prior Costpoint experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of US GAAP is required.
• Excel and Word experience are required.
• Experience with a major ERP Financial Management system; Costpoint preferred.
• Experience with Government and Commercial Contracts is required.
• Revenue recognition knowledge is expected.
• Minimum 8–15 years general ledger accounting experience.
• CPA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in the month-end and year-end close, including creating and entering journal entries and performing general ledger account analysis.
• Manage indirect cost reports and submissions.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for senior operations personnel.
• Oversee and prepare month-end customer invoices.
• Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations.

• Manage state filing and registration process.
• Sales and Property Tax Return preparation.

Use your outstanding accounting skills to manage the close process for the Company. Join a talented team of financial professionals and work directly under the supervision of the Controller. This Accounting Manager will also perform a variety of other accounting activities (listed below) in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Take the lead in the month-end and year-end close, including creating and entering journal entries and performing general ledger account analysis

Required Experience

• Working knowledge of US GAAP required
• Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of Excel and Word experience required
• Experience with a major ERP Financial Management system required, experience with Costpoint preferred
• Ability to collaborate professionally with operational department and external vendors
• Must be a problem solver
• Experience with Government and Commercial Contracts required
• Experience in a Job Cost Accounting environment strongly preferred

Education or Equivalent Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
