TalentSource360 is seeking an Accounting Manager for a high-visibility role within a hospitality group. You will oversee restaurant unit accounting, consolidate results, and deliver strategic reporting to executives.

You will lead a team of 3–4 accountants, drive month-end close on deadlines, and collaborate with operations to optimize controls and processes across multiple locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CPA eligibility preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Direct experience overseeing accounting for a portfolio of restaurants or other multi-unit hospitality operations.
  • Proven ability to consolidate multi-entity financials, including intercompany eliminations, into an accurate consolidated P&L.
  • Strong command of GAAP and restaurant-specific accounting: prime cost, inventory and COGS, tip and payroll accounting, gift cards, and third-party delivery reconciliation.
  • Track record of running a disciplined month-end close on deadline.
  • Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with accounting platforms and restaurant POS systems.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing accounting systems and automating workflows.
  • Familiarity with sales tax and multi-state compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting across all restaurant units and the holding company, including AP, AR, payroll accounting, cash management, and general ledger.
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close - driving a timely, accurate, repeatable process across every entity.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, gift card, third-party delivery, and intercompany accounts.
  • Manage inventory and cost-of-goods accounting, including period-end counts, food and beverage cost analysis, and variance review.
  • Roll up unit-level financials into a consolidated P&L and financial package for the holding company's executive team.
  • Deliver clear unit-level and portfolio-level reporting on sales, prime cost, labor, and four-wall profitability, with commentary that explains the "why" behind the numbers.
  • Support the Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis as the business evaluates new locations and concepts.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3-4 accountants and specialists; set priorities, review work, and foster a culture of ownership and accuracy.
  • Spend regular onsite time with the team to collaborate, train, and stay connected to operations.
  • Serve as the go-to accounting partner for general managers and operations leaders, helping them understand and act on their numbers.
  • Design and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures that hold up as new units come online.
  • Standardize the chart of accounts and onboarding of new locations into the accounting and reporting structure.
  • Improve systems and integrations between POS, payroll, inventory, and the accounting platform to reduce manual work.
  • Coordinate with external CPAs on audits, reviews, and tax filings, including sales tax, and ensure compliance deadlines are met.

TalentSource360 has been retained once again by a returning client to identify their next Accounting Manager. This role will join a well-known hospitality group building a portfolio of restaurant concepts that people love to come back to.

For this hire, we are looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager who knows restaurant accounting inside and out and has managed the books across multiple units. You'll own operational accounting for the entire portfolio, lead a small, talented team, and roll each unit's results into a consolidated P&L that the executive team relies on to make strategic decisions.

Compensation: $120,000-130,000

This is a high-visibility seat reporting to the Controller and working alongside operators and unit leaders, and help shape the processes, controls, and reporting that help promote healthy growth for the company.
