The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years in accounting/finance, and knowledge of GAAP. CPA or PMP preferred, with opportunities for professional development within Bass Pro’s integrated finance organization.

Directly supervises and evaluates the day-to-day activities of designated personnel and works cross-functionally with various teams throughout the organization.***ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**** Supports the team’s month-end closing activities including the completion of journal entries, account reconciliations, and expense variance explanations.* Prepares and maintains well-defined financial reports for use in validating and analyzing financial results.* Maintains accurate records and completes timely submissions for business operating permits and licensing.* Routinely works with the various financial systems used by the department to research and answer questions related to the financial statements* Assist in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts* Seeks opportunities to modify or enhance current business processes to ensure optimal productivity.* Builds and develops strong relationships with others throughout the organization to develop solutions to new situations and to identify or correct problems.* Compiles internal process memos, process mapping, and other documentation related to accounting transactions and journal entries.* ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED***EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:**** General knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)* Minimum Degree Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Accounting or Finance.* Certificate(s) or License(s) preferred: CPA, PMP* Years of experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.***KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:**** Experience managing a team.* Knowledge of advanced formulas and pivot tables in Excel.* Ability to set, measure and consistently achieve goals within established timelines.* Willingness to develop team members for additional responsibility.* Ability to communicate clearly both in written and verbal interactions.* Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.***TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:**** Minimal overnight travel required; may occasionally include attendance at overnight conferences or professional development events.***PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:***Regularly sits and works on a computer.Occasionally stands and walks.
