Pratt & Whitney, a world-leading aircraft engine designer and manufacturer, seeks an Accounting Manager for PW1100 Leasing in a hybrid role based at East Hartford, CT. You will own the JV accounting for lease revenues, asset transactions, invoicing, and reconciliations.

The role collaborates with operations, tax, and finance teams and requires a strong background in closing books, JEs, and reconciliations. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 8+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience closing books, booking JEs and performing account reconciliations.
• Strong communication skills – able to communicate to all levels of management confidently and concisely.
• Detailed, analytical and well organized – the business moves rapidly and the candidate will need to juggle multiple priorities.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to access to restricted systems/tools.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting for the PW1100 Leasing Joint Venture for the PW1100J-GM engine.
• Manage monthly journal entries for lease revenue and related charges.
• Oversee asset sales and I/Co relationships with partners.
• Prepare invoicing for engines on lease to customers.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and support quarterly balance sheet presentations.
• Contribute to year-end impairment reviews and annual controls assessments.

Pratt & Whitney has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager, PW1100 Leasing.

This position is a hybrid position based out of our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location.

• Note - Position is noted as a hybrid position but only currently requires a limited on-site presence.

What You Will Do:

A unique opportunity to own the accounting for a complete entity in Commercial Engines.

Leasing is a dynamic aspect of the Commercial Business and there are many opportunities to grow and learn through the interesting strategies the business is pursuing.

The role interacts with operations, technical accounting, collaboration accounting, tax, RTX Enterprise Services, the Fixed Assets team and more.

The Accounting Manager, PW1100 Leasing, is responsible for all accounting related to the P&W Engine Leasing Joint Venture for the PW1100J-GM engine including:

• Monthly Journal Entries for lease revenue and charges including sharing with collaborators.
• Sale of assets out of the entity and I/Co relationship with IAE LLC.
• Invoicing preparation for all engines on lease to customers.
• Reconciliations of past invoices to assist in the preparation of Special Support for customers.
• Quarterly balance sheet presentations to executive management.
• Monthly Account Reconciliation and Accounting Controls Reviews.
• Yearly impairment reviews.
• Annual Accounting Controls assessment.
• Dividend payments to JV Partners.
• Projects to improve invoicing and find opportunities to incorporate AI are abundant.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance; OR an advanced degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
