Job summary

Foothill-De Anza Community College District seeks a Manager, Accounting to plan, develop, and organize the Accounting section of Fiscal Services. The role ensures proper recording of funds, timely financial statements, and oversees banking operations and year-end close.

The position provides expert support to executive management and college fiscal service departments on fund accounting and related fiscal matters, with emphasis on internal controls and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
• At least five (5) years of professional experience in accounting or budgeting, of which two (2) years were in a management or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.
• Performs complex accounting analyses and prepares quarterly/annual reports and statements.
• Manages staff, including interviews, training and performance management.
• Prepares and reviews financial documents, budgets, invoices and year-end accruals.
