Job summary

Agility Robotics in Fremont, CA is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the general accounting function, ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance and timely close. You will manage journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting for a public-company environment.

You will build scalable accounting processes, collaborate with finance leadership, and oversee external audits and SOX controls while guiding a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA license in good standing.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3–5 years in a team lead or people leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Experience with external financial statement audits.
• Experience in a SOX-compliant/public company environment.
• Experience with ERP implementations, optimizations, or major enhancements.
• Advanced Excel and Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing general accounting team.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Oversee general ledger integrity, COA, and reporting.
• Develop and enhance accounting policies, controls, and processes.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements.
• Lead ERP implementation and cross-functional finance initiatives.
• Ensure SOX compliance and coordinate external audits.
• Prepare schedules for tax filings and statutory reporting.
• Analyze variances and communicate insights to leadership.
• Perform additional accounting, reporting, and finance tasks.
