This is a hands‑on role requiring strong fundamentals and the ability to independently identify issues, work with auditors and tax advisors, and handle day‑to‑day close. Qualifications

• CPA certification required with public accounting/audit background.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience in a fast‑moving environment.
• 2+ years of audit experience at a Big Four or comparable firm.
• Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly bookkeeping and close across a growing portfolio of studio‑built companies.
• Deliver accurate monthly financials on a timeline that gives portfolio leadership visibility into the business.
• Manage accounting onboarding and setup as new companies launch.
• Partner with offshore accounting support to distribute work and manage increasing portfolio volume.
• Maintain consistent accounting practices across companies while adapting to each business’s maturity.
• Serve as day‑to‑day accounting partner to portfolio company leadership.
• Support UP.Labs close, tax compliance, and audit readiness with external advisors.
• Identify accounting issues and flag areas needing additional technical expertise.
