Job summary

Whitefish Search Partners in Minneapolis seeks an Assistant Controller to support the finance leader with full-cycle accounting and budgeting. The role offers exposure to the month-end close and forecasting, with potential advancement to a Controller title in the future.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience.
• NetSuite experience preferred.
• Public accounting experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with GAAP.
• Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes.
• Research and analyze expense variances for company management.
