Job summary

Pacific Rim Capital, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager in Irvine, CA to oversee lease portfolio accounting, GL ownership, reconciliations, and financial reporting controls.

You will lead a team of three accountants and partner with accounting leadership on month-end close and audits. The role emphasizes process automation and continuous improvement, with a focus on accuracy, timelines, and efficient reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience with at least 1 year of people management.
• Lease accounting experience preferred; strong Fixed Assets accounting experience required.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong ownership mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Experience in NetSuite or other ERP system preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in leveraging automation and AI technologies to enhance accounting process and decision-making. Experience in using AI tools is preferred but not required.
• Adaptable, curious and committed to continuous learning in an evolving technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of lease portfolio accounting activities, including ownership of general ledger accounts, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Review and approve team-prepared workpapers, reconciliations, and accounting entries for accuracy and policy compliance.
