Kalmbach Feeds, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team and drive process improvements across departments.

This role combines people leadership with hands-on accounting duties to ensure accurate invoicing, payments, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting and at least five years of accounting experience, including three in leadership, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• 5+ years in accounting with at least 3 years in people leadership.
• Self-motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team; ensure members feel valued and understand impact.
• Partner across teams and departments to drive improvements.
• Execute projects to improve processes and systems.
• Act as a working manager and perform tactical accounting duties as needed.
• Generate and review daily invoices and resolve invoicing issues.
• Process and reconcile daily cash, checks, ACH, and credit card payments.
• Initiate and manage ACH payment setups and maintain banking data.
• Reconcile payments and run daily banking/payment reports.
• Review and approve payment proposals; ensure accurate accounting entries.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist in financial statement prep.
