Charles IT is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and build scalable processes that support the company’s growth.

This role partners with FP&A, HR, Sales and Operations, supervises a growing accounting team, and drives GAAP compliance, internal controls, and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience managing month-end close and producing financial statements.
• CPA preferred and auditing experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for GL integrity.
• Prepare financial statements, schedules, and variance analyses for leadership.
• Ensure GAAP compliance, internal policies, and strong financial controls.
• Act as primary contact for external audits and audit scheduling.
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff and processes for scalability.
