Job summary

Premier Tech, a world-class leader in industrial packaging equipment, seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead financial operations from its Montgomery, Alabama location. You will drive month-end close, budgeting, and intercompany accounting while guiding a high-performing team.

The role requires US GAAP expertise, CPA (preferred), and strong Excel/financial systems skills to deliver accurate financial reporting and strategic insights to senior management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and US GAAP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
• CPA certification – considered a strong asset.
• Good organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Thorough and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team in processing invoices for internal and external clients.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and monthly management reports.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and explain budget variances to senior management.
• Coordinate and support audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual budget process.
• Collaborate with North American team members across Logistics, Sales, and Operations to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Implement and monitor new accounting procedures, driving process improvements.
• Oversee project accounting including job cost reporting, WIP analysis, and risk identification.
• Manage intercompany & technical accounting, including accruals and manufacturing costing.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team environment.
