Job summary

RJ Lawn & Landscape is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead accounting and financial reporting for the assigned Iowa branch. You will supervise the month-end close, KPI reporting, and the AR, billing, purchasing, AP, payroll, and job costing teams to ensure accuracy and strong internal controls.

Key duties include monthly department packages, leadership meetings, tax filings, reconciliations, fixed assets, and supporting year-end audits.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervision.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting controls.
• Experience with month-end close, tax, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial packages by department.
• Lead monthly financial meetings with branch leadership and KPI deep dives.
• Manage month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, inventories, and asset records.
• Prepare and file state tax returns and maintain compliance.
• Supervise AR, billing, AP, payroll, and job costing to align GL with policy.
