Job summary

CFS is seeking an Accounting Manager in Deerfield, IL, offering a hybrid schedule and strong growth in a mission-driven setting. You will lead cost and inventory accounting, oversee period close activities, and support SOX compliance while mentoring two team members.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting, manufacturing experience, and proficiency with ERP systems such as Great Plains, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics. Equity options and a bonus are part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong cost accounting exposure.
• Inventory accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with publicly traded companies or mixed environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory and cost accounting activities, including manufacturing variance analysis.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Oversee accruals, accounts payable, payroll-related accounting, and debt accounts.
• Review account reconciliations and support financial statement preparation.
• Partner on SOX compliance, internal controls improvements, and audit support.
• Manage and mentor two operational accounting team members.
