Job summary

DeWinter Group seeks a hands-on Accounting Manager for a 3- to 4-month contract engagement in South San Francisco, with extension potential. The hybrid role requires 3 days per week onsite and supports a dynamic accounting team.

Responsibilities include month-end close, GL, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, fixed assets, and ASC 842 lease accounting. Strong US GAAP, Excel/Sheets, and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system.
• Strong general accounting, month-end close, and reconciliation skills.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting; lease accounting under ASC 842 is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, CIP, depreciation, and roll forwards.
• Prepare and review lease accounting entries and reconciliations under ASC 842.
• Assist with expense reviews, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Support multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency translation.
• Maintain documentation and support audit requests and compliance filings.
