Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead AI implementation and automation projects while supporting core accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end close analysis.

You will drive automation of close processes, standardize templates, and partner with cross-functional teams to leverage data analytics and predictive insights for improved financial decision-making.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with public accounting preferred.
• Experience leading AI, RPA, BI or digital transformation projects in accounting/finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead process improvement initiatives, including automation of close activities and workflow optimization.
• Support AI-driven solutions and automation tools to streamline accounting and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage data analytics and forecasting.
• Review period-end close tasks: journal entries, accruals, and financial analysis.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations within deadlines.
• Assist business partners in understanding accounting activities and results.
• Approve or perform tasks like cash funding and intercompany settlements.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses as needed.

Job description

The Accounting Manager will help lead and focus on AI implementation and automation projects while also supporting accounting-related activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis of the period-end close.

Responsibilities:

• Lead process improvement initiatives, including automation of close activities, template standardization, and workflow optimization to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support the identification, evaluation, and implementation of AI-driven solutions and intelligent automation tools to streamline accounting processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to leverage data analytics, predictive insights, and emerging technologies to improve financial operations and decision-making.
• Review assigned areas from the period-end financial close process, including recording and reviewing journal entries, reviewing expense accruals, and performing financial analysis.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations within established deadlines.
• Assist business partners in understanding accounting activities and financial results.
• Approve or perform various operational tasks, such as cash fundings and settlement of intercompany receivables and payables.
• Review and/or prepare various ad hoc analyses as needed.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in accounting and/or finance
• CPA or MBA preferred
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field with experience in public accounting being a strong preference
• Experience leading or supporting AI, robotic process automation (RPA), business intelligence, or digital transformation projects within accounting or finance functions.
• Strong understanding of U.S GAAP and SOX
