Job summary

Australia-Employment is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team in a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in construction and manufacturing accounting, with a proven track record in financial reporting and team leadership.

You will oversee daily operations, train staff, manage cash flow, and drive improvements in financial processes. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least five years of managerial experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a managerial accounting role, preferably in construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong experience with financial reporting and financial statements.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing accounting.
• Proficient in Timberline, Sage 300, Sage Intacct, and Great Plains.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including the management of accounting staff.
• Train staff to ensure they are up to date with the latest accounting practices and software.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, provide insights on the company’s financial status, and propose actionable solutions for improvement.
• Manage cash flow and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Process bonuses and other forms of financial compensation for the team.
• Prepare and review year-end financial statements and lead the year-end close process.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest financial legislation.
