Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in our company's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our accounting department, including financial reporting, inventory management, and financial analysis. This role is perfect for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Manage and supervise accounting department employees; responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership.
• Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
• Lead the development and implementation of financial systems, processes and controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
• Review and analyze financial data to prepare financial reports, statements and projections on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and tax filings.
• Participate in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
• Develop and implement strategies for cost-efficiency and improved financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing or distribution industry.
• Proven experience with financials, inventory management, and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency with accounting software, databases and financial analysis software.
• Excellent leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to a non-financial audience.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
