This AAA 4-Diamond hotel is situated next to the San Diego Convention Center and across from Petco Park. It features 30 stories with stunning views of the bay and city skyline. With 1,145 rooms, 6 food and beverage outlets, and 160,000 sq ft of banquet space, the Hilton San Diego Bayfront offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a culture of excellence, innovation, and hospitality.

This role is on-site, supporting the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

What will I be doing?

As an Accounting Manager, you will manage the audit functions to ensure outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Your responsibilities include:

  • Reconciling General Ledger accounts, reviewing discrepancies, and guiding staff on follow-up actions.
  • Ensuring accuracy of reports, including month-end closing, forecasts, and variances.
  • Controlling and tracking inventories for operational, departmental, and team member meal budgets.
  • Downloading data into timekeeping systems accurately.
  • Managing weekly submission of time and attendance data, including gratuities.
  • Calculating and producing daily deposit transmittals for checks.
  • Conducting monthly payroll audits and issuing paychecks.
  • Monitoring and developing team member performance through supervision, training, counseling, and recognition.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and training staff.
What are we looking for?
  • Minimum of two years of finance experience, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Knowledge of accounting payables, receivables, month-end processes, general ledger, and P&L statements.
  • Previous payroll experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in software such as Agilysys, Elavon, OnQ, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to operate a 10-Key by touch accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to handle large charges accurately and efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that includes holidays and weekends.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
