Our client, a rapidly growing healthcare organization, is hiring an Accounting Manager to join their team in a newly created role. This position reports directly to the CFO, oversees two staff members, and offers a clear growth runway to Controller within 1–2 years. This is a mostly remote opportunity — expected to be onsite 1 day per week initially, then transition to nearly fully remote once trained and acclimated.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger, including material journal entries and subsystem interfaces (AP, payroll, revenue, fixed assets)
• Partner with Operations and Revenue Cycle teams to ensure accurate COGS, AR valuation, and revenue recognition
• Prepare executive-level financial analyses and recommendations
• Assist in the annual budget process
• Support year-end audit and tax preparation; coordinate with external auditors
• Prepare supporting schedules, surveys, and internal/external data requests
• Supervise, train, and develop two accounting team members
• Oversee bank reconciliations and maintain strong internal controls
• Participate in process improvements and policy development
• Complete ad hoc projects for the CFO as needed

Qualifications
