AmTrust Financial Services Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to support GAAP accounting for Specialty Risk entities in the US. The role involves journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of GAAP and regulatory financial statements with strong internal controls.

The position requires leadership in financial close processes, intercompany activity analysis, and collaboration across departments to drive accuracy and efficiency. Salary range provided: $87,600–$130,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge and application of US GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and Hyperion (HFM) or FCCS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage routine financial close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare annual GAAP financial statements and intercompany reconciliations.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate unusual items.
• Ensure intercompany activity is recorded accurately.
• Assist with system implementations, process improvements, and ad hoc analyses.
• Lead teams to improve workflow and ensure quality output.
