KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a portion of Corporate Accounting, ensuring accurate reflection of financial information in the general ledger and subledgers. You will develop and maintain accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.

The role requires a college degree in accounting and CPA, with 6+ years of accounting experience and prior staff leadership. Strong communication, GAAP knowledge, and the ability to influence partners are essential.

Qualifications

• College degree in accounting and CPA requirements.
• Experience in public accounting or for a publicly traded company is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain accounting processes, procedures, and controls.
• Lead, coach, and train accounting staff.
• Participate in the close of the general ledger each period.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly financial statement analysis and reporting.
• Ensure monthly account reconciliations and significant quarterly reserve analyses are prepared and reviewed.
• Maintain financial information and documentation.
• Participate in projects to improve systems, processes and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP.
