Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and other accounting/ERP software such as NetSuite, Sage, or Xero
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies/procedures
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff or serve as an individual contributor initially
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers for audits and filings
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
• Manage day-to-day cash flow reporting and treasury administration
• Recommend process improvements and evaluate new tools
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as directed by the CFO
