Job summary

Homer City Redevelopment in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking an Accounting Manager to build and lead the company’s accounting function for a multi-GW power plant project. This in-person, full-time role reports to the Senior Director, Corporate Controller and requires strong U.S.

GAAP knowledge and ASC 606 experience. You will own close processes, asset capitalization, debt accounting, intercompany activity, and external audits, collaborating with finance, legal, project teams, and external tax

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 guidance.
• Experience with fixed asset accounting and construction-in-progress.
• CPA license required and NetSuite proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reconciliations.
• Apply U.S. GAAP to complex accounting matters and prepare analyses.
• Evaluate expenditures for capitalization under policy.
• Analyze contracts under ASC 606 and revenue recognition conclusions.
• Assist with debt accounting, issuance costs, and disclosures.
• Support treasury, cash management, and cash flow forecasting.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and reporting deliverables.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and consolidation support.
• Maintain accounting policies and internal controls; respond to audits.
• Collaborate with tax providers to support compliance and reporting.
