Job summary

Omega Foundation Services, A Solaris Company, Lafayette, LA seeks an Accounting Manager - Financial Reporting to lead the preparation of timely financial statements and the close process. You will oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

The role requires hands-on leadership, review of complex reports, and collaboration with leadership to explain variances. CPA preferred and 5+ years of accounting, including supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including financial statement preparation and supervisory experience; self-directed and comfortable running the team day to day
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting and month-end close
• Construction industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Manage the close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Perform flux and variance analysis and explain significant changes to leadership
• Support WIP, work on hand, and cost-to-complete reporting in partnership with Project Accounting
• Maintain general ledger structure, account mapping, and reporting integrity
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate responses to auditor requests
• Follow the close calendar, templates, and procedures set by the Director of Accounting Operations, and maintain Financial Reporting checklists within that framework
• Supervise, coach, and develop the Senior Accountant, using training standards from the Director of Accounting Operations
