Job summary

Simplified Real Estate is seeking an Accounting Leader to own and scale the finance operations for a 1,300+ unit portfolio. You will lead month-end close, GL reconciliations, AR/AP workflows, and internal controls with a hands-on, data-driven approach.

You will manage a team of 3-6, set KPIs, and drive accurate, audit-ready reporting while building scalable processes and clear standards for performance and results.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of accounting or finance operations experience.
• Experience leading a finance or accounting team, with responsibility for setting KPIs, conducting performance reviews, developing team members, and maintaining accountability for performance and results.
• Experience owning month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, AR/AP workflows, and GAAP compliance.
• Experience with financial reporting systems and internal control frameworks.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving capability with close attention to accounting work.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Property management or real estate experience is a plus.

You will lead the technical foundation of a 1,300+ unit property management portfolio, work with autonomy, and take charge of the workflows that keep reporting reliable. We are looking for someone confident enough to make independent decisions, analytical enough to follow the data, and disciplined enough to protect quality. You will work to clear deadlines, solve issues quickly, and build documented, audit-ready finance operations that scale.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the CFO, you will own month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, AR/AP workflow architecture, internal controls, and financial reporting systems.
