Job summary

ProPivotal, a well established real estate investment firm in Boston, is seeking an accounting leader to own the monthly close for debt fund portfolios and deliver accurate financial statements on deadline.

The role requires 5+ years in real estate accounting with fund experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage deadlines and communicate with stakeholders. Hybrid work arrangement offers 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Real estate industry accounting exposure or audit management within real estate is ideal.
• Experience with fund accounting and general ledger including reconciliations and consolidations.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close for assigned debt fund portfolios and deliver accurate financial statements on deadline.
• Review and oversee accounting for debt investments including bonds, loans, warehouses and securitizations.
• Lead a small team including coordination with offshore resources and ensure quality of work product.
• Manage the external audit process and respond to audit requests throughout the year.
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls supporting financial reporting and compliance.
• Partner with portfolio management to support reporting packages, forecasts and ad hoc requests.
• Support investor reporting activities including capital calls, distributions and capital account statements as needed.

• Pay Range: $120,000 to $130,000 base with 20% bonus target
