Job summary

TGG Accounting in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a hands-on role in Commercial Construction. You will oversee payroll, AP/AR, financial reporting, and insurance while guiding a small accounting team of 3 direct reports.

Requirements include 5+ years in commercial GC accounting, a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, and proven leadership. This full-time, on-site position offers competitive pay and full family health benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated accounting experience in commercial GC construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience leading a team.
• Strong grasp of WIP reporting, job costing, and backlog analysis.

Responsibilities

• Payroll — timecards, processing, workers' comp, 401(k), quarterly/year-end reporting, new hire & new-year setup (via Centrally HR/CBIZ)
• Accounts Payable — checks, lien releases, 1099s, vendor setup, credit card management (via GCPay)
• Accounts Receivable — billing, invoice tracking & follow-up, deposits, monthly close, reporting
• Banking & cash flow — reconciliations and cash management
• Financials — year-end close, WIP reporting, job costing, backlog analysis, journal entries, working with outside CPA
