Job summary

NC America, based in Irvine, CA, seeks an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, AP, intercompany accounting, and cross-functional collaboration with Korea's HQ.

This hands-on role ensures GAAP compliance, strengthens internal controls, supports budgeting and cash management, and coordinates with external auditors and tax advisors. Travel may be required; Korean-English bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leading month-end and year-end close.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity consolidation.
• Support external audits and tax compliance with schedules and coordination.
• Proficiency with a major ERP system and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with headquarters in Korea and cross-functional teams.
• Bilingual in Korean and English preferred.
• Experience with foreign currency accounting.
• Knowledge of ASC 606, ideally in gaming or digital products.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes with the close calendar.
• Review journal entries, accruals, depreciation, amortization, and other adjusting entries.
• Review reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Review foreign currency transactions and the monthly remeasurement of FX balances.
• Maintain the general ledger integrity and chart of accounts.
• Develop and improve procedures, workflows, and close documentation.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and analyze variances.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with department heads.
• Oversee accounts payable and travel expense reimbursements.
• Supervise junior accountant in AP activities.
• Coordinate intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Ensure tax filings and compliance.
