Job summary

Graphite Financial Group is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager/Client Lead to guide the financial strategy for high-growth startup clients. This hands-on role requires deep technical expertise and strong client relationships.

You will own client relationships, manage and develop a team of accountants, oversee monthly closes, and drive audits, due diligence, and complex accounting research to deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of client-facing accounting experience (public or corporate) with leadership exposure.
• At least 2 years managing a team of staff and senior accountants.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills across multiple platforms.
• Experience supporting startups, audits, due diligence, and complex accounting research.

Responsibilities

• Own client relationships as the primary point of contact and provide strategic accounting guidance.
• Lead and develop a team of staff and senior accountants with regular performance reviews.
• Oversee end-to-end monthly close, financial statement prep, and daily transactional work.
• Coordinate audits, due diligence, and other strategic accounting projects.
• Deliver timely, insightful financial reporting and variances analysis for clients.
• Collaborate with internal Finance and Tax teams to meet client needs.
