Job summary

SVA is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Madison, WI office. You will lead client engagements from start to finish, supervise staff, and mentor junior professionals in a growing closely held business practice.

This role provides exposure across multiple industries and a clear pathway to senior leadership. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a minimum of 6 years in public accounting, and CPA/EA or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in public accounting.
• CPA, EA or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements from start to finish and manage budgets.
• Supervise the preparation of work papers and client deliverables.
• Maintain ongoing contact with clients and develop understanding of their business.
• Onboard new clients and maintain confidentiality per policy.
• Lead staff development, participate in interviews, and provide guidance to staff.
• Balance workload to meet busy-season hours and ensure quality work.
