W3Global seeks an experienced Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager in Pittsburgh, PA to oversee day-to-day accounting for operating projects and third-party asset management. CPA certification is highly preferred, with 7+ years of accounting and 3+ years of Big 4 or large regional audit experience seen as ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA certification highly preferred.
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of accounting experience required.
• 3+ years of audit experience with a Big 4 or large regional CPA firm highly preferred.
• Public accounting experience highly preferred.
• Previous people management experience required.
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS required.
• Knowledge of current leasing standards preferred.
• Experience preparing annual audited financial statements, including footnotes.
• Ability to interpret complex agreements and determine appropriate accounting treatment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical compliance with US GAAP and IFRS, including derivatives, business combinations, and purchase accounting.
• Prepare and issue monthly and quarterly financial reports, including audited financial statements.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting functions with project teams.
• Ensure accounting practices comply with legal requirements and accounting principles.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses and reporting packages for clients and consolidated audits.
• Ensure compliance filings are submitted accurately and on time.
• Assist in budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Manage day-to-day communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Assist Controller with internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP reporting.
• Manage and develop junior accounting staff.
• Interpret complex agreements and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Support annual audits and footnotes in audited financial statements.
