Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration required or equivalent.
• CPA preferred.
• 8–10 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least three years in public accounting and/or with a large public company.
• Strong technical accounting skills including knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Four or more years of experience leading teams to achieve goals, including supervising direct and/or indirect reports.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and related financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting activities and functions, including close process, analysis, and reconciliations, establishing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
• Evaluates financial transactions to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Assists with interim and year-end external audits, including the creation of month end, quarter end and year end schedules.
• Builds and leverages cross-functional teams to support departmental objectives and internal customers.
• Identifies and implements opportunities to improve and streamline current processes and procedures.
• Drives process improvement initiatives leading to adoption of best practices.
• Guides and develops direct reports, setting goals and providing feedback to ensure efficient close and reporting.
• Maintains required records, reports, and files in an organized manner.
• Keeps all sensitive matters confidential.
• Other duties as assigned.

Manager, Corporate Accounting

The Manager, Corporate Accounting, will focus on the accounting function and ensure accuracy of financial results and compliance with accounting pronouncements (U.S. GAAP). In this role, you will lead and manage the day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger activity, account reconciliations, month-end, quarter, and year-end close processes. This individual will develop and coach a team of associates to be able to identify, manage, escalate, and effectively manage risk within areas of responsibility and demonstrate leadership in the advancement of team and organizational priorities.
