Job summary

Turn2Partners is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead broad real estate accounting across investments, development projects, properties, and corporate entities. The role reports to the Director of Accounting and collaborates with executive finance leadership to manage close processes and reporting.

The ideal candidate has a strong real estate accounting foundation, hands-on Yardi experience, and a track record of leading AP and accounting operations.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and/or accounting operations experience.
  • Strong experience within commercial real estate, real estate investment, property accounting, development, construction, infrastructure, or a closely related industry.
  • Experience with property and corporate accounting.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Experience operating within a multi-entity environment.
  • Accounts payable management or oversight experience.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience implementing process improvements and internal controls.

Responsibilities

  • Support accounting across real estate investments, development projects, properties, and investment entities.
  • Perform and review property-level accounting, including journal entries, accruals, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and close activities.
  • Support real estate investment accounting across a growing portfolio of institutional assets.
  • Assist with accounting for property acquisitions, development activity, capital expenditures, and other real estate transactions.
  • Review project and property expenses for proper coding and allocation.
  • Partner with investment, asset management, development, fund accounting, and finance teams.
  • Support property-level month-end and quarter-end close and financial reporting.
  • Assist with development accounting, construction draws, and property operating expenses.

Position Overview

A rapidly growing institutional real estate investment and development platform is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its expanding finance organization.

This is a broad, hands‑on accounting role providing exposure across real estate investment accounting, property accounting, corporate accounting, and accounts payable operations. Reporting to the Director of Accounting with regular exposure to executive finance leadership, this individual will help support accounting across a growing portfolio of investments, development projects, properties, and corporate entities.

The ideal candidate brings a strong real estate accounting foundation, hands‑on Yardi experience, and operational accounting leadership experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants broader accounting ownership while helping a growing organization improve processes, controls, systems, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support accounting across real estate investments, development projects, properties, and investment entities.
  • Perform and review property-level accounting, including journal entries, accruals, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and close activities.
  • Support real estate investment accounting across a growing portfolio of institutional assets.
  • Assist with accounting for property acquisitions, development activity, capital expenditures, and other real estate transactions.
  • Review project and property expenses for proper coding and allocation.
  • Partner with investment, asset management, development, fund accounting, and finance teams.
  • Support property-level month-end and quarter-end close and financial reporting.
  • Assist with development accounting, construction draws, and property operating expenses.
Corporate Accounting
  • Support corporate accounting across multiple entities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, allocations, and month-end close.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger activity across corporate and property-level entities.
  • Support financial reporting and preparation of accounting schedules.
  • Assist with credit card accounting, expense reporting, cash activity, and reconciliations.
  • Help develop scalable accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Accounts Payable Leadership
  • Own day-to-day AP operations across corporate, investment, development, and property entities.
  • Supervise and develop existing AP staff.
  • Manage invoice processing, coding, approval workflows, vendor onboarding, payments, wires, and disbursements.
  • Coordinate invoices associated with construction, development, professional services, property operations, and corporate expenses.
  • Oversee vendor management, 1099 processing, and related compliance.
  • Improve AP workflows, approval structures, processes, and controls.
  • Serve as a key hands‑on Yardi user across property, corporate, and operational accounting.
  • Help optimize Yardi reporting, workflows, approval structures, and accounting processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting activities.
  • Document accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Participate in systems enhancements and finance transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
