Job summary

DailyPay, Inc. is seeking a Manager - Accounting to lead the core accounting function, drive GAAP-compliant close processes, and partner with Corporate Accounting leadership to support growth. You will set objectives, manage relationships, and drive process improvements across the month-end close.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in fintech/SaaS or Big 4 environments, strong NetSuite expertise, CPA preferred, and proven ability to scale financial operations with a high-growth company.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership roles in fintech, SaaS, or Big 4 environments.
• Advanced proficiency with NetSuite and reconciliation software.
• CPA license (preferred) and strong GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead global month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes under US GAAP.
• Embed into Corporate Accounting to establish and maintain accounting processes.
• Drive process automation and SOX-ready internal controls.
• Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
• Collaborate with Legal, Engineering, and Product on new product launches.

The Role:

The Manager - Accounting is a leader of the core accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of DailyPay's financial statements. Alongside Corporate Accounting leadership, you will establish operational objectives for the accounting team, orchestrate the month-end close process, and manage critical relationships both inside & outside of DailyPay. By driving process improvements and ensuring GAAP compliance, you provide the financial foundation that supports DailyPay's strategic growth and operational excellence.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Corporate Accounting Integration: Embed into the Company's Corporate Accounting function, establishing and maintaining an understanding of the associated accounting business processes.
• Lead Financial Reporting: As part of Corporate Accounting leadership, you will be a leader of the global month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring all reporting is delivered accurately and in accordance with US GAAP.
• Establish Operational Objectives: Define and execute departmental goals that improve financial accuracy, shorten the close cycle, and enhance overall reporting transparency.
• Drive Process Automation: Identify and implement system optimizations within NetSuite and other fintech stacks to automate manual workflows and scale with the business.
• Strengthen Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance the internal control environment (SOX-readiness), ensuring all financial activities are documented and compliant with company policies.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, professional development, and technical excellence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure the accurate accounting treatment of new product launches and complex business transactions.

What You Bring to the Team

• 6+ Years of Experience: Progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles in a high-growth fintech, SaaS, or "Big 4" public accounting environment.
• Analytical Skills: Equipped with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a razor-sharp attention to detail.
• ERP Mastery: Advanced proficiency with NetSuite and reconciliation software (e.g., Numeric), with a track record of driving large-scale system implementations or optimizations.
• Strategic Problem Solving: Proven ability to solve complex financial challenges and establish long-term work plans that align with broader organizational goals.
• Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an exceptional ability to articulate complex financial results and technical accounting issues to non-financial stakeholders and executive leadership.
• CPA Certification: Active CPA license is preferred.
