Job summary

Equahire, a growing residential HVAC company in Tulsa, is seeking an Accounting Manager to own the accounting function end to end. Youll run the books, lead a 2013 3 person team (AP/AR, payroll), and work closely with the owner to influence decisions with solid numbers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting with supervisory experience.
• Familiar with GAAP and month-end close.
• Hands-on with AP/AR and payroll.
• Detail-oriented and process-driven.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus.
• Sage Intacct and ServiceTitan experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Lead a 2013 3 person accounting team (AP/AR, payroll).
• Manage AP/AR and payroll operations.
• Ensure GL accuracy and proper account classification.
• Prepare financial statements and leadership reports.
• Assist P&L reporting and flag variances.
• Job costing and departmental reporting across install, service, maintenance.
• Reconcile field software with GL.
• Build better processes and internal controls as we scale.

This isn't a seat in a corporate finance department. You'll run the books, lead a small team, and sit close enough to the owner that your numbers actually change what the business does next. If you like clean processes, fast answers, and being the person leadership calls first, this is a good fit.

What You'll Own

• The full monthly, quarterly, and annual close
• A team of 2–3 (AP/AR, payroll)
• Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations
• General ledger accuracy and proper account classification
• Financial statements and supporting schedules for leadership
• P&L reporting — including flagging variances before they become surprises
• Job costing and departmental reporting across install, service, and maintenance
• Reconciliation between the field software and the GL
• Building better processes and internal controls as we scale

What You Bring

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervising others
• Strong command of GAAP, month-end close, and financial statement prep
• A hands-on approach — you're comfortable in AP/AR and payroll yourself, not just reviewing
• Detail-oriented and process-driven, with the judgment to work lean
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA a plus
• Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred
• ServiceTitan (or similar field service platform) experience is a big plus
• Home services, construction, or multi-location background is a plus — not required
