Leadership, Process, Executive Visibility, Outstanding Room for Growth, RELOCATION OFFERED
A well-established privately held manufacturer in the Orlando market is hiring an Accounting Manager to lead its enterprise-wide corporate accounting function.
This is a build role rather than a maintenance role. The organization is formalizing its accounting infrastructure, and the person in this seat will have the mandate to design the processes, controls, and documentation the function will operate on going forward. For an accounting leader who has spent a career inheriting someone else's systems, the opportunity to establish the standard is rare at this level.
The role leads a team of 4, with a credible path to 6 as cost accounting and tax specialist functions consolidate under this seat. It reports to the Controller with direct visibility to the CFO and executive team.
Lead the enterprise-wide accounting function and supervise on-site accounting staff, ensuring accurate, timely reporting and efficient departmental operations.
Deliver financial statements in compliance with US GAAP across multiple entities, including consolidations and foreign currency.
Own the daily operations of the accounting department, including AR, AP, general ledger, month-end and year-end close.
Evaluate, develop, and improve departmental controls, systems, and procedures to strengthen internal controls, accuracy, and efficiency.
Recruit, train, and develop the accounting team, supervising and delegating departmental work.
Oversee payroll, treasury, and insurance processes and reporting.
Lead the external audit, including preparation of audit schedules, coordination of requests, and management of auditor communications.
Analyze financial data and produce reporting for management and external parties including vendors and lenders.
Partner with other departments as they develop strategies, set objectives, and make decisions carrying financial impact.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
7 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
Demonstrated experience with ERP systems such as Infor SyteLine, Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics 365, with advanced Excel capability.
CPA not required. Manufacturing and cost accounting experience is valued and can be developed in the role.
The successful candidate will bring technical accounting depth, demonstrated leadership of a team, and the independence to identify problems and resolve them without waiting for direction.
This is an environment where decisions are made locally. There is no parent company setting the agenda. Leadership is explicit that they want someone who takes ownership, moves on what needs fixing, and operates collaboratively within the direction the executive team sets.
A truly exceptional salary package, top of the range.
Medical, dental, and vision coverage effective the first of the month following 30 days.
Paid time off prorated from day 1, plus 9 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday.
Relocation assistance available, typically structured as a lump sum payment.
Flexible scheduling within standard business hours. This position is on-site in Orlando.
