We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced Accounting + Finance industry team. This role will play a crucial part in our company's financial operations, providing expert financial advice, managing financial systems and budgets, conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities, and producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with 5+ years of experience in the field. This role requires a high level of proficiency in monthly reporting and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

As a Accounting Manager, your key responsibilities will include

  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Provide recommendations for improving systems and processes.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Meet financial accounting objectives.
  • Conducting regular ledger reconciliation and monthly reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with state revenue service.
  • Working closely with financial management team to create budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Assisting in the formulation of strategic and long-term business plans.
  • Evaluating financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Expertise in preparing monthly reports and conducting reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
