Job summary

Firetron, Inc. seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations for a growing building systems and services company.

The role reports to the CFO and oversees general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and job costing to ensure GAAP compliance and timely financial statements. You will partner with operations on project profitability, develop budgets, implement strong internal controls, and mentor a team to uphold accuracy and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and job costing.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.

Strategic Support

• Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies, project profitability, and operational decision-making.
• Partner with operations and project management teams to ensure accurate job costing and margin analysis.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA required

Experience Minimum 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in an Accounting Manager or senior finance leadership role.

Skills Experience in construction, contracting, or service-based industries strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, and project accounting.

Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct or similar).

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
