Job summary

Crossroads Courier in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Accounting Manager who will do more than traditional close work; lead people, improve processes, and partner with executive leadership.

This role owns month-end close, financial reporting, AR/AP, treasury, and compliance while building a scalable accounting team.

Qualifications

• Required: full-cycle accounting experience and ownership of month-end close.
• Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Proven ERP/financial software experience and data accuracy.
• Strong track record in improving processes and efficiencies.
• Logistics, transportation or service industry exposure is a plus.

Most Accounting Manager positions focus primarily on financial reporting and closing the books. This role provides an opportunity to influence the business beyond the numbers by leading people, improving processes, building customer and vendor relationships, and partnering directly with executive leadership. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, identifying efficiencies, and helping a growing organization scale while developing a strong accounting team.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Full-cycle accounting experience
• Ownership of month-end close
• Collections and Accounts Receivable experience
• Accounting software / ERP experience
• Proven process improvement accomplishments

Preferred

• Logistics, transportation, healthcare, or service industry experience
• Budgeting and forecasting experience
• AI or automation experience
