Job summary

KerberRose is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its accounting operations and help build scalable financial processes for the future in Wisconsin. This role focuses on rolling up sleeves, improving processes, and partnering with leadership to drive meaningful impact during growth.

You will manage full-cycle accounting, month-end close, payroll, reporting, and internal controls while collaborating with external auditors and tax professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting.
  • Experience in an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar role.
  • Experience with payroll processing and reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with AP automation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
  • Prepare internal financial reports and provide insights to leadership.
  • Collaborate with external CPAs, auditors, and tax professionals.
  • Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and reporting capabilities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
  • Help establish scalable accounting infrastructure for growth.

What You'll Do
  • Managing full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Leading month-end and year-end close processes while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintaining the general ledger in accordance with GAAP principles.
  • Managing payroll processing and payroll-related reconciliations.
  • Preparing internal financial reports and providing meaningful insights to leadership.
  • Partnering with external CPA firms, auditors, and tax professionals.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Five or more years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Previous experience in an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar role preferred.
  • Experience managing payroll processing and reconciliations.
  • Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience with Bill.com or other AP automation platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience within telecommunications, construction, service-based organizations, or similar industries is a plus.
