Job summary

CFS in Kern County is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy across the finance team and visibility across the business.

You will oversee AP/AR, manage daily close processes, monitor cash flow, and uphold GAAP-compliant records with strong internal controls. The role offers onsite work in Kern County with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Accounting leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Experience with financial reporting and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Manage daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
• Monitor cash flow, collections, and vendor payments
• Review and maintain accounting records and reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures
