Overview

Responsibilities
  • The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions with a strong focus on revenue recognition, month-end close, and financial reporting.
  • Serve as a hands-on contributor responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance.
  • Establish, develop and improve internal controls and procedures for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
  • Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries within the ERP system.
  • Lead revenue accounting processes in accordance with ASC 606, including contract review, revenue recognition analysis, and related reconciliations.
  • Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Support internal and external audit requests and assist with preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and strengthening internal controls.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and other business teams to support accounting-related initiatives and projects.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting, technical accounting research, and special projects as needed.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to one direct report, as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support ERP system enhancements, implementations, and process optimization initiatives.
Qualifications

You Should Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring accounting staff preferred
  • Strong understanding and practical application of ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance required
  • Experience working within an ERP system required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • Public accounting experience is a plus
