Butcher's by Roli Roti is seeking an Accounting Manager who thrives in a hands-on, product-close role within a growing food and beverage manufacturing environment. You will own core accounting operations, partner with the Controller, and influence financial reporting for a scaling consumer brand.

This role sits at the intersection of manufacturing, inventory, trade spend, and reporting. You’ll lead the team, improve controls, and help deepen CPG expertise while delivering timely GAAP-compliant

Qualifications

• Experience in CPG, food & beverage, or manufacturing accounting.
• Strong understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and gross margins.
• Hands-on experience managing month-end close in a growing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• High integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day CPG accounting, including month-end close.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and regulatory reports.
• Support Controller in budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis.
• Lead inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Analyze gross margin by channel, product line, and customers.
• Prepare monthly inventory and COGS reporting.
• Build scalable processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff.

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager with CPG (food or beverage manufacturing) experience who enjoys being close to the product, the plant, and the people. This is a hands‑on role with real influence.You will own core accounting operations while partnering with the Controller to maintain financial reporting, and support a growing consumer brand.

You’ll sit at the intersection of manufacturing, inventory, trade spend, and financial reporting. This is an ideal opportunity for an Accounting Manager who wants to deepen their CPG expertise and grow into broader financial leadership as the company scales.

What you’ll do

Own day-to-day CPG accounting

• Manage hands‑on daily and monthly accounting, reconciliations, including month‑end close
• Assist in preparing accurate monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and regulatory reports
• Support the Controller in financial close, budgeting, forecasting, and ad‑hoc analysis

Manufacturing, inventory & margin focus

• Lead all inventory accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and reconciliations between physical and financial inventory
• Partner with operations and manufacturing to ensure accurate costing, yield, and waste reporting
• Analyze gross margin by channel, product line, and customers
• Prepare monthly inventory and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting and analysis

Build scalable processes

• Monitor and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Support ERP and system enhancements as the business grows in complexity and volume

Lead and develop the team

• Assist Controller to supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff
• Create cross-training and process documentation to ensure continuity and reliability
• Foster a collaborative, solutions‑oriented accounting function

What we’re looking for

• Experience in CPG, food & beverage, or manufacturing accounting
• Strong understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and gross margins
• Hands‑on experience managing month‑end close in a growing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• High integrity, reliability, and attention to detail

Technical skills

• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
• Manufacturing ERP experience

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $125,000 – $135,000 for California-based roles. Base pay offered will depend on multiple individualized factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's experience, skills, job‑related knowledge, and market location. Roli Roti offers a generous benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) eligibility after a year, paid time off, and an annual cash bonus structure.
